This easy crochet zipper pouch is a fun way to dress up a simple canvas pouch and turn it into something unique!
The crochet cover adds pretty texture and color, while the canvas pouch underneath keeps everything sturdy and helps the bag hold its shape.
The pattern is worked in simple rounds using size 4 cotton yarn and a size H, 5.00 mm crochet hook.
Once the crochet cover is finished, it slips right over a 4.5″ x 6.5″ canvas zipper pouch and is sewn securely around the top edge.
You can also add optional logo hardware for a cute, finished look.
This little pouch is perfect for storing crochet hooks, notions, makeup, small accessories, or anything else you want to keep organized.
It also makes a quick and thoughtful handmade gift!
Happy crocheting!

Attach the optional logo hardware (with sewing needle and thread) to the front of the pouch before sewing the crochet cover to the canvas pouch.
Fasten off on the inside of the cover.
Assembly:
Slip the crochet cover over the canvas zipper pouch. Line up the top edge of the crochet cover evenly around the pouch and pin it in place.
Thread a sewing needle and matching thread (match to canvas pouch color). Insert the needle in and out through a small section of the canvas near the top edge of the pouch. Bring the needle through the front loop of the crochet stitch directly above it (right below the top stitch).
Continue sewing around the entire pouch, working in and out through a small section of canvas and then through the front loop of the crochet cover.
Once you have sewn completely around the pouch, knot the thread securely and weave in the ends.
Fasten off and enjoy!
