Decorative Loop Edging

The edging is worked around the entire scarf using ch-5 loops.

Round 1: Ch 5, sl st into the side of the scarf approximately 2 rows down. Ch 5, sl st approximately 2 rows down. Rep from * to * along the first long side.

When you reach the first short end, continue working ch-5 loops evenly across the end of the scarf.

Continue along the opposite long side, working (ch 5, sl st approximately 2 rows down) until you reach the second short end.

Work ch-5 loops evenly across the remaining short end. Finish with ch 5 and sl st at the beginning of the round to join.

Round 2: Sl st into the center (3rd ch) of the first ch-5 loop. Ch 5, sl st into the center (3rd ch) of the next ch-5 loop. Rep from * to * around the entire scarf. Finish with ch 5 and sl st into the same loop where you began to join.

Round 3: Rep Round 2, working each new ch-5 loop into the center of the corresponding loop from the previous round.

Fasten off and weave in all ends.
