If you’re looking for a crochet headband that combines elegance with simplicity, this Traverse Crochet Double Cable Headband is the perfect project to try.
This easy free pattern features a beautiful cable pattern created with double crochet stitches and single crochet, making it a great option for a range of skill levels—especially if you’re ready to explore crochet cables without feeling overwhelmed.
The design repeats just two rows, so once you understand where to place your first stitch, first dc, and how to insert hook for the cable stitches, the rhythm becomes relaxing and fun.
Measuring 4″ wide and sized to fit a standard adult (20–23″ head circumference), this versatile accessory is perfect for everyday wear or a special occasion.
I’ve also added a full video tutorial that guides you through each row, along with an ad-free PDF for personal use (for purchase).
Whether you’re browsing crochet patterns, or looking for inspiration for your next design, this stylish headband is a rewarding project with a simple, satisfying repeat you’ll want to make again and again.
This pattern uses a size H, 5.00 mm crochet hook and medium weight (size 4) yarn.
