Marshall Paw Patrol Mittens

Materials:
– medium worsted weight yarn in white
-Small amount of black yarn for spots
-Small amount of brown yarn for paw pads
-Hook size: I and F
-Blunt needle
Abbreviations:
ch- chain
sc- single crochet
st(s)- stitch(es)
sc2tog- single crochet 2 together
sl st- slip stitch
dc- double crochet
The Pattern:
Toddler size, child size is in ( )
For the cuff:
Ch 8 (9)
Row 1-14 (1-16): Sc in back loops, ch 1, turn.
Fold in half and sl st ends together through both loops.
Right and left mitten:
Row 1: Ch 1, evenly space 18 (20) sc around (18, 20).
*Continue to work in the round, add stitch marker here to keep track of rows.*
Row 2: sc 10, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc, 5 (7) sc (20, 22).
Row 3: sc 10, 2 sc, sc, 2sc, 7 (9) sc (22, 24).
Row 4: sc 10, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc, 9 (11) sc (24, 26).
Row 5: sc 10, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc, 11 (13) sc (26, 28).
Row 6: sc 10, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc, 13 (15) sc (28, 30).
Row 7: sc 8, skip 8 sts (for thumb), sc 12 (14) (20, 22).
Row 8-13 : sc in each st around (20, 22).
Row 14: sc2tog, sc 2, repeat around.
Row 15: sc2tog, sc, repeat around. Keep repeating until you have 5 sts left. Fasten off. Weave in end so there are no gaps, fasten off on inside.
Thumb:
Insert hook in first and last st of the 8 sc sts and pull up a lp.
Row 1: Ch 1, sc in 8 sts around, join (8).
*You will continue to work in the round.*
Row 2-4: sc in each st (8).
Row 5: Sc2tog 4 times, fasten off and weave in end. Turn thumb inside out and fasten off on inside with blunt needle.
Black spots (with F hook):
Small spots (make 6): Magic circle, ch 1, 5 sc in circle, sl st to join and fasten off leaving long enough tail to sew on.
Medium spots (make 2): Magic circle, ch 2, 8 dc in circle, sl st to join and fasten off leaving long enough tail to sew on.
Large Spots (make 2): Magic circle, ch 2, 10 dc in circle, sl st to join and fasten off leaving long enough tail to sew on.
Arrange spots on mittens like picture (make sure thumbs are facing each other so you have 1 left and 1 right mitten) and sew on spots (make sure not to sew through the mitten).
Paw pad (with brown yarn) (with I hook):
Small pads (make 8): same as small black spots.
Large pads (make 2): same as large black spots.
Weave in all ends. You’re done! Enjoy!
