Looking for a fun, cozy new project that’s quick, colorful, and completely hassle-free?
This free crochet scarf pattern is an excellent option for both beginners and experienced crocheters alike.
Written in toddler-adult sizes (see size chart), this pattern is easily adjustable to fit everyone in your family!
Using a traditional granny stitch scarf design with granny stitch sections, this square scarf pattern is worked in continuous rows with no ends to weave in, making it a friendly version, easy to follow and understand.
Worked with worsted weight yarn and 5.00 mm hook, this scarf alternates different colors in a row repeat that’s easy to follow using US terms.
Simply insert your hook into the next sc or next ch-sp as you follow the row of single crochet and chain stitches, moving from the first stitch to the last stitch of each previous row.
You’ll love how the color change flows across each row, creating a vibrant scarf without the hassle of weaving in tails at the end of row.
This cozy scarf is a great project for a new project or a fun gift for family and friends.
The finished size is perfect for wrapping up on chilly days, and the pattern allows for yarn substitution if you have enough yarn on hand.
For those who want a professional, easy-to-follow version, the PDF pattern is available in my Ravelry shop and Shopify store for a small extra cost.
Whether you’re looking for a traditional granny scarf or a vibrant square scarf pattern with smooth color change and no ends to weave in, this free pattern is a fun project this season!
Happy crocheting!
