Crochet Faux Fur Fingerless Mittens

Materials:

• Size H, 5.00 mm crochet hook
• Medium weight (size 4) yarn, I used Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn in “Blue Spruce”. You will also need Faux fur yarn, I used Lion Brands Go For Faux in “Comet”.
• Tapestry needle

Abbreviations:

ch- chain

st(s)- stitch (es)

sc- single crochet

hk- hook

hdc- half double crochet

sl st- slip stitch

Gauge:

7 sts x 5 rows = 2″ square

Measurements:

Measures approx. 3 ¾” wide x 8” tall.

Cuff:

Ch 11

Row 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from the hk and each ch to end, turn (10).

Rows 2-18: Ch 1, sc in the BLO in each st to end, turn (10).

Fold cuff in half and sl st together the back loop only of on side and the front loop only of the other.

Body:

Continue to sc 24 sts around the top of the cuff (they will be close together), sl st to join (24).

Rounds 1-4: Ch 2, hdc in each st around, sl st to join (24).

Round 5: Ch 2, hdc 11, ch 4, sk next 4 sts, hdc last 9 sts, sl st to join (24).

Round 6, Ch 2, hdc next 11 sts, hdc in each of the 4 chains you made in the last row, hdc last 9 sts, sl st to join (24).

Rounds 7-9: Ch 2, hdc in each st around, sl st to join (24).

Switch to faux fur yarn.

Round 10: Sc in each st around, sl st to join.

Fasten off, weave in ends.

Repeat with other fingerless mitten.
