Crochet Window Scarf Free Pattern

Create this gorgeous crochet window scarf with this free pattern!

This free crochet pattern works in repeat row format to create a stunning “window” box style.

The pattern uses a size G, 4.25 mm crochet hook, great for any skill level and makes a great gift!

Easy to follow and uses lightweight or worsted weight yarn (check your gauge for sizing).

The pattern uses double crochet stitches and treble stitches. This simple crochet scarf pattern is lots of fun to make in different yarn colors or variegated yarn.

Materials:

• G Hook, 4.25 mm crochet hook
• Size 3 light yarn, I used Yarn Bee’s The Soft Standard in “Fern Leaves,” 3.5 oz, 200 yarns, about 2 skeins needed, 7 oz, 400 yards total. 
• Tapestry needle

Final Measurements:

The scarf measures approx. 65″ X 9″. 

Gauge:

15 sc X 18 rows = 4 x 4″ square

Multiples:

Multiples of 3 + 2

Abbreviations:

ch-chain

st(s)- stitch(es)

dc- double crochet

tr- treble crochet

sk- skip

Pattern:

Ch 35

Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from the hk and each ch to end, turn (33).

Row 2: Ch 3, dc in each st to end, turn (33).

Row 3: Ch 3, *tr next 3 sts, ch 3, sk next 3 sts,* repeat from * to end, turn (33).

Row 4: Ch 2, *dc next 3 sts, dc 3 in ch 3 sp from previous row,* repeat from * to end, turn (33).

Row 5: Ch 2, dc in each st across, turn (33).

Repeat rows 3-5 until your piece measures approx. 65″, ending with rows 3 and 4.

Fasten off, weave in ends.
