Round 15: Ch 2, dc2tog around, sl st to join (6).

Fasten off, weave in end.

Continue to the “Construction” section.

Construction:

Cute a long piece of color contrasting yarn about 3 feet.

With your tapestry needle start at the top where you just weaved in your end and put your needle through the middle of the pumpkin and out through the hole you made in your beginning round.

Pull the yarn around the pumpkin and through the middle again so there are 6 yarn stands total that are evenly spaced around the pumpkin. Fasten off on the bottom and cut or weave in ends.

Stem:

Stick a cinnamon stick in the top of the hole and push it down in. Cut your ribbon about 14″. Weave the ribbon in and out around the pumpkin strings. Make sure the length on either side is even and make a bow. Cut the ends on a slant so the slant is facing out.
