Ch 116 (120, 124, 128)
Row 1: Dc in the 4th ch from the hk, *ch 1, sk next st, dc next st,* repeat from * to end (112, 116, 120, 124).

Twist Construction:
Fold each end in half horizontally. Put those halves together by putting one side of the fold inside the other. See picture below:
Cut a long piece of yarn and with your blunt needle weave in and out through all ends together. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Turn your piece inside out.

Pick up a st on the side of your top and ch 3.
Round 1: Dc in next st, *ch 1, sk next space, dc in next st,* repeat from * around, ending with a ch1, sl st to join.
Round 2-8: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), Ch 1, sk next space, dc in next st,* repeat from * around, ending with a ch 1, sl st to join. Fasten off, weave in ends.
Straps:
Count in 5 (6, 7, 8) spaces on each side. Double up your yarn so you have 2 strands together and work 60 chains on either side of the top. Fasten off and trim ends.
Shells (optional):
With your thread and sewing needle, sew each shell onto your top every other space around the bottom.
You’re done! Enjoy your new top!
