The elegant faux fur crochet headband gives you that touch of elegance and glamour! The pattern works up with a series of single crochet and front post double crochet stitches that give it great texture! The faux fur is then added for extra detail and a rhinestone button for extra glam!
The final piece measures approx. 4.5″ wide and fits a 21″ head circumference (adult size).

Pattern:
Ch 15
Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from the hook and each st to end (13).
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st, *fpdc around dc from previous row, sc in next st,* repeat from *, ending with a sc (13).
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across (13).
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first st, *fpdc around fpdc from row 2, sc in next st,* repeat from *, ending with a sc (13).
Alternate rows 3 and 4 until piece measures 21″. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Trim (with faux fur yarn):
Pick up a st with the faux fur yarn and ch 1, sc evenly around the entire piece with 2 sc in each corner. Sl st in first st and fasten off. Weave in ends.
Construction:
With the right side facing up, fold each end in half horizontally. Put those halves together by putting one side of the fold inside the other.
See picture below (please note that I used different colors of yarn to show how the piece is sewn together. It was hard show a clear picture of it with the faux fur which the picture below can clearly demonstrate):
Cut a long piece of yarn and with your blunt needle weave in and out through all ends together. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Turn your piece inside out and sew on your button! Optional: Cut a long piece of faux fur and add additional faux fur around your button with your blunt needle. Fasten off and weave in ends.

That’s wonderful Paulette! Happy holidays!
Hello I’m also from Northern Michigan, Boyne city .I love the headband but for the life of me I cannot seem to make straight lines I’m a avid Crotcheter so I’m finding it’s so aggravating that I cannot do the stitch could you think of anything I might be doing wrong I follow the pattern and I’ve also followed the total tutorial, and have counting out 13 stitches each row. it’s just crazy I have tried about eight times and now it’s a task I just keep doing it over and over. Any ideas? thank you from another northern Michigander !
Kelly
Hi Kelly! Every time you are going down the texture side you are making a fpdc then sc right next to it then fpdc and sc right next to it. As long as you are fpdc every other stitch and sc on the next row back you should see it making the pattern. Here’s another video tutorial of me doing the stitch with the TC twist headband: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_H0bKeKcVE&t=3s Hope this helps!
Do you have this in a knitted pattern?
Would love to make this but do not crochet.
Thanks!
