Crochet Heart Finger Puppet

Create this cute crochet heart finger puppet with this quick and easy pattern! Kids will love them and they are so quick and easy to make! I made a whole bunch of these little guys for my son’s Kindergarten class along with a little note!

The finished puppet measures approx. 3″ wide by 4″ tall.

Materials:

• H hook, 5.00mm
• Medium worsted weight yarn, I used Red Heart Super Saver
• Tapestry needle
• Googly eyes (2)
• Glue
• Small piece of black yarn

Abbreviations:

ch- chain

st(s)- stitch(es)

sc- single crochet

sc2tog- single crochet 2 together

sl st- slip stitch

Heart Body, with red or pink:

***turn after each row***

Ch 2

Row 1: 2sc in next st (2).

Row 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st (4).

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across (4).

Row 4: Ch 1, 2 sc, sc next 2 sts, 2 sc (6).

Row 5: Ch 1, sc in each st across (6).

Row 6: Ch 1, 2 sc, sc next 4 sts, 2 sc (8).

Row 7: Ch 1, sc in each st across (8).

Row 8: Ch 1, sc next 4 sts across (4).

Row 9: Ch 1, sc2tog, twice (2).

Row 10: Ch 1, sc in each st across (2). Fasten off.

Pick up a st in the middle of row 7 and sc 4. Repeat rows 8-10, sc evenly around the heart and fasten off. Weave in ends.

Sc evenly around the heart, sl st into first st and fasten off. Weave in end.

Mouth and eyes:

Cut a long piece of black yarn and sew on mouth. Fasten off on back. Glue on eyes.

Feet (make 2)

Make a magic circle

Row 1: Sc 4 into the circle and pull to close.

***You will be working in the round, place stitch marker here to keep track of rows***

Row 2: 2 sc in each st around (8).

Rows 3-8: Sc in each st around (8). Sl st and fasten off leaving a long tail to sew on.

Sew the front of the legs (4 stitches on the front) onto the lower middle of the back of the heart. Fasten off and weave in ends.
