Assembly

Lay both panels together with wrong sides facing each other.

Starting in the top left corner, insert hook through both layers and ch 1. Sc evenly around 3 sides of the bag, working 2 sc in each bottom corner.

When you reach the opposite top corner, continue directly into the strap.

Strap

Ch 90.

Sl st into the opposite top corner.

Ch 1, turn, and sc in each ch across the strap.

Continue working sc evenly across the top edge of the bag.

Sl st to first sc to join.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Tassel

Cut 12 strands of yarn, each approximately 10 inches long, and align evenly.

Cut 1 additional 10-inch strand and tie tightly around the center of the bundle.

Fold strands in half so the knot sits at the top.

Using another longer strand of yarn, wrap tightly around the tassel about 1 inch below the top, wrapping 4–5 times to form the tassel neck.

Thread the yarn ends onto a blunt needle and pull them down through the center of the tassel to secure.

Trim tassel evenly to approximately 3 inches, or desired length.

Attach tassel to a spring O-ring clip, or sew directly onto the bag using a blunt needle and additional yarn.
