Crochet Chenille Bag Charm Pattern

Materials:
- Size I, 5.5 mm hook (for body of heart)
- Size G, 4.25 mm hook or smaller (to pull top hanging through the bead)
- Chenille yarn (size 6). I used Premier Just Chenille in Crimson, Aqua, pink/rose, light mauve and Hibiscus
- Wooden bead with large hook, 5 mm
Stitch Abbreviations (US Terms)
- ch – chain
- dc – double crochet
- hk – hook
- sl st – slip stitch
- tr – triple crochet
Final measurement:
Measures approx. 3″ wide by 2.5″ tall and 6″ including the loop.
Pattern:
Heart Body (make 2)
- Make a magic circle.
- Ch 3 (counts as first tr).
- Work the following stitches into the magic circle:
- 3 tr
- 2 dc
- ch 1
- tr
- ch 1
- 2 dc
- 3 tr
- ch 3
- Fasten off.
- Insert hook into the center of the heart and pull the yarn ends through to cinch closed.
- Weave in ends.
Joining Hearts:
With right sides facing out, use a long strand of yarn and a tapestry needle to sew the two hearts together.
Weave in and out the stitches evenly around the entire heart.
Fasten off and weave in ends securely.
Hanging:
Pull up a loop in the top middle of the heart and ch 25, sl st in first st and fasten off.
Weave in ends.
Put a G hook or a smaller sized hook that fits through the bead and pull the top of the hanging through.
Pull bead down to the bottom and knot the top to secure.
