Materials
Size H (5.00 mm) crochet hook
Medium weight (size 4) yarn
Sample shown uses Yarnspirations Caron Cinnamon Swirl Cakes in “Strawberry Swirl” for the multi-colored headband

Not all medium weight yarns are created equal. Some are thinner or thicker than others.
You may need to work more or fewer rows than indicated to achieve the desired width.
This pattern is designed to create a thick headband—continue working the pattern until your desired width is reached.
Special Stitch
Half Double Crochet Slip Stitch (hdc sl st):
Yarn over, insert hook into next stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop (3 loops on hook).
Do not yarn over again; instead, pull the first loop directly through the remaining two loops on the hook.

Fold the piece in half lengthwise.
