Construction:
Arrange flowers onto the front body and sew on.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Embellishment:
Sew on additional buttons/embellishments for added detail.
Fabric Glue:
Use fabric glue to secure any fringe ends on the back of the necklace. Continue with making the back of the body. This step is optional but good for added security.
Back body:
With bulky weight yarn ch 62.
Row 1: Hdc in the 3rd ch from the hk and each ch to end, turn (60).
Row 2: Ch 2, *2 hdc, hdc next 2 sts,* repeat from * to end, turn (80).
Rows 3-5: Ch 2, hdc in each st to end, turn (80).
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
Finishing:
Lay the embellished front body on top of the back body so the 2 pieces are alined (they both open at the front).
With tapestry needle, sew around the entire piece, attaching the two pieces together.
This will hide all the ends on the beck from sewing on the flowers and embellishments and make for a beautiful finished piece.
Closure:
Sew a small button (¾–1 in) to one side of the neck warmer opening.
On the opposite end, join yarn at the center top, ch 5 to form a button loop, then sl st into the center bottom of the same edge to secure the loop.
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
Pin it for later!
You could run a ribbon through it and make a wreath, it’s beautiful and Thank You four free patterns 😄
