Crochet Snuggle Plush Blanket Easy Free Pattern
Create this beautiful blanket with this easy blanket pattern!
Great for a beginner skill level (beginner crocheter), this super soft and cozy blanket features basic crochet stitches, super bulky weight yarn (size 6 yarn weight, I used Baby Bee Snugs & Kisses) and color changes.
This is my favorite blanket that works up so fast with this super bulky yarn (the right yarn for this cozy blanket, only 7 skeins needed)!
A great pattern that makes great gifts and even has yarn left over to make a matching pillow!
The type of yarn used is a super soft snuggly yarn that makes an amazing blanket/cozy throw that anyone will love.
This simple blanket features half double crochet stitches, double crochet stitches and size L, 8 mm crochet hook.
Much of the blanket is worked on row repeat with these simple stitches.

Materials:
- Size L, 8.00 mm crochet hook
- Baby Bee Snugs & Kisses in “Blueberry, Sunny Season, Cozy Rose, Grape Jelly, Baby Jade, Soft Snowflake and Teddy”. Size 6 (super bulky), 100% polyester, 8 oz/227 grams/148 yards- 7 total skeins needed
- Blunt needle
- Stuffing (optional, only for pillow)
Gauge:
7 sts x 5 rows = 4″ square
Abbreviations:
st(s)- stitch(es)
hk- hook
ch- chain
sc- single crochet
hdc- half double crochet
dc- double crochet
sl st- slip stitch
sk- skip
Pattern:
Decide which colors you want colors A-G to be.
With color A, ch 103
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from the hk and each ch to end, turn (100).
Row 2-8: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn (100).
Row 3: Ch 2, *sk next st, dc in next,* repeat from * to end, turn (100).
Row 4: Switch to color B, ch 2, 2 hdc in each space across, turn (100).
Rows 5-10: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn (100).
Row 11: Ch 2, *sk next st, dc in next,* repeat from * to end, turn (100).
Row 12: Switch to color C, ch 2, 2 hdc in each space across, turn (100).
Rows 13-18: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn (100).
Row 19: Ch 2, *sk next st, dc in next,* repeat from * to end, turn (100).
Row 20: Switch to color D, ch 2, 2 hdc in each space across, turn (100).
Rows 21-26: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn (100).
Row 27: Ch 2, *sk next st, dc in next,* repeat from * to end, turn (100).
Row 28: Switch to color E, ch 2, 2 hdc in each space across, turn (100).
Rows 29-34: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn (100).
Row 35: Ch 2, *sk next st, dc in next,* repeat from * to end, turn (100).
Row 37: Switch to color F, ch 2, 2 hdc in each space across, turn (100).
Rows 38-43: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn (100).
Row 44: Ch 2, *sk next st, dc in next,* repeat from * to end, turn (100).
Row 45: Switch to color G, ch 2, 2 hdc in each space across, turn (100).
Rows 46-52: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn (100).
Row 52: Ch 2, *sk next st, dc in next,* repeat from * to end, turn (100).
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Pillow:
With color A, Ch 30
Row 1: Hdc in the 3rd ch from the hk and each ch to end, turn (28).
Rows 2-4: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn (28).
Rows 5-8: Change to color B, ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn (28).
Rows 9-12: Change to color C, ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn (28).
Make again using colors D, E and F.
Weave in ends on your 2 panels.
Lay one panel on top of the other.
With color G, sc through both sides evenly around with 2 sc in each corner.
Add stuffing as you go down the last side.
Sl st to join, sc in each st around with 2 sc in each corner.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
