Materials:

• Size H, 5.00 mm crochet hook
• Cotton yarn (size 4) in 2 colors, I used Lily Sugar n’ Cream in white and Lion Brand Ice Cream Cotton Blend in Lemon Citron. 
• Tapestry needle

Abbreviations:

ch- chain

st(s)- stitches

hdc- half double crochet

sc- single crochet

sl st- slip stitch

Special Stitches:

Picot:

Ch 3, sl st in 2nd ch from the hk, 1 picot made.

Final Measurement:

4″ x 4″

Pattern:

With white yarn make a magic circle and ch 2 (does not count as a st).

Round 1: 12 hdc in circle, sl st in first st, pull yarn to close (12).

Round 2: Switch to yellow yarn, 2 hdc in each st around, sl st to join (24).

Round 3: Switch to white yarn, *2 hdc, hdc,* repeat from * around, sl st to join (36).

Round 4: Switch to yellow yarn, *ch 3, sk next 2 sts, sl st in next,* repeat from * around, sl st in first ch to join.

Round 5: *Sc in ch 3 sp, sc, picot, sc in same sp,* repeat from * around, sl st in first st to join.

Fasten off, weave in ends.
