Lining:
Fold your fabric quarter in half with the outside facing out, iron flat.

With embroidery floss, sew up the sides, leaving about an inch opening on either side at the top.
Fasten off, trim ends.
Fold over the top of the lining about an inch and iron flat.
Fold over the very top in half again so you have a clean edge and iron flat.
Claps (optional):
Sew the clasps (with sewing needle and floss) onto the lining on both sides and fasten off on the back of the lining.
Add lining to bag:
Put the lining in the bag making sure each corner is pushed into the corner of the bag.
With your sewing needle and embroidery floss, sew in and out around the top of the bag to attach the lining.
NOTE: If you choose not to have side rings, attach your strap to the inside of the bag on either side about an inch down before adding the lining.
Side rings:
With tapestry needle and yarn, sew the rings to each side of the bag.
Strap:
Chain 5 sts around the ring (or ch 5 if you are not using rings).
