Materials:
- Medium worsted weight yarn (size 4)
- G hook, 4.25 mm
- Blunt needle
Abbreviations:
ch- chain
hk- hook
st(s)- stitch(es)
sc- single crochet
FLO- front loop only
BLO- back loop only
Construction:
Follow the pattern instructions for the size you would like. Fold in half and sew on 3 sides. Turn inside out.

0-3 Months- measures 3.75″
Ch 14
Row 1: Sc in second ch from the hk and in each ch to end, turn (13).
Row 2: Sc in the BLO in each st across, turn (13).
Row 3: Sc in the FLO in each st across, turn (13).
Row 4: Sc in the BLO in each st across, turn (13).
Row 5: Sc in the FLO in each st across, turn (13).
Row 6: Ch 1, sc in the BLO in next 7 sts, turn (7).
Row 7: Ch 1, sc in the FLO in each st across, turn (7).
Row 8: Ch 1, sc in the BLO in each st across, turn (7).
Row 9: Ch 1, sc in the FLO in each st across, turn (7).
Row 10: Ch 1, sc in the BLO in next 7 sts, continue to ch 7, turn (14).
Row 11: Sc in second ch from the hk and next 6 sts, sc in the FLO in remaining sts to end (13).
Row 12: Ch 1, sc in the BLO in each st across, turn (13).
Row 13: Ch 1, sc in the FLO in each st across, turn (13).

What is the purpose of not having a ch1 in rows 1-5?

To not create a seam. You can sl st and ch 1 if you prefer, that will just create a seam up the back of the bootie.
