Materials:
- Size H, 5.00 mm crochet hook
- Medium weight yarn (size 4) in 6 colors
- Tapestry needle
Abbreviations:
ch- chain
st(s)- stitch(es)
sc- single crochet
dc- double crochet
Pattern:
Ch 102
Row 1: Dc in third ch from the hook and each st to end, turn (100).
Row 2: Ch 2, dc in each st to end, turn (100).
Rows 3-4: Change color, ch 2, dc in each st to end, turn (100).
Rows 5-6: Change color, ch 2, dc in each st to end, turn (100).
Rows 7-8: Change color, ch 2, dc in each st to end, turn (100).
Rows 9-10: Change color, ch 2, dc in each st to end, turn (100).
Rows 11-12: Change color, ch 2, dc in each st to end, turn (100).
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Construction:
Fold one side over the other so they overlap and form a point in the middle front.
Pick up a st anywhere along the bottom and sc closely and evenly around the entire piece (sc through both sides where they overlap).
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Fringe:
Cut long pieces of yarn approx. 10″ long. Take 2 strands together and fold in half.
Pull the middle strands through the bottom stitch of the cowl, yarn over and pull through all strands.
Repeat the fringe every 3 stitches while alternating colors around the bottom of the cowl.
Trim to desired length.
