The coasters measure approx. 4.5″ X 4.5″.
This pattern uses medium weight cotton yarn (size 4) and a size G, 4.25 mm crochet hook.
1 2.5 oz. skein will yield 5 coasters.

Materials:
– Size G, 4.25 mm crochet hook
– Medium weight cotton yarn (size 4), I used Lily Sugar’ n Cream in “Seabreeze”. 1 2.5 oz. skein will yield 5 coasters.
– Tapestry needle
Abbreviations:
ch- chain
hk- hook
st(s)- stitch(es)
sc- single crochet
dc- double crochet
fpdc- front post double crochet
sl st- slip stitch
Pattern:
Ch 15
Row 1: Dc the 3rd ch from the hk and each st across (13).
Row 2: Ch 2, *dc, fpdc* repeat from * to end, turn (13).
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (13).
Row 4: Ch 2, *fpdc (in previous dc from row 2), dc,* repeat from * to end, turn (13).
Row 5: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (13).
Row 6: Ch 2, *dc, fpdc (in previous dc 4 rows down),* repeat from * to end, turn (13).
Repeat rows 4-6, 2 more times.
Row 19: CH 1, turn, sc in evenly around the dishcloth with 2 sc in each corner, sl st to join.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
