Crochet Bobble Neck Warmer

Materials:
- I hook, 5.5 mm
- Tapestry needle
- Medium worsted weight yarn (size 4), I used Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn in “Taupe”. About 4 oz/200 yards needed
- Optional: 2 1″-1.5″ buttons
- Sewing floss or thread
Special Stitches:
Bobble stitch:
Yarn over, insert the hook into the stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops on hook. (There will be 2 loops on the hook). Yarn over, insert hook in same stitch or space, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops on hook, repeat 2 more times. Yarn over and draw through all loops on the hook. 1 Bobble made.
Third Loop Only: Work into the third loop which is the loop right behind the back loop of the stitch.
Abbreviations:
ch- chain
hk- hook
st(s)- stitch(es)
sk- skip
sc- single crochet
hdc- half double crochet
dc- double crochet
sl st- slip stitch
sp- space
Pattern:
Ch 105
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from the hk and each ch to end (102).
Rows 2-13. Ch 2, turn, hdc in each st across (102).
Row 14: Ch 2, turn, *bobble, hdc next 5 sts*, repeat from * to end (102).
Row 15: Ch 2, turn, hdc in each st across (102).
Row 16: Ch 2, turn, hdc next 3 sts, *bobble, hdc next 5 sts,* repeat from * ending with a hdc in last 2 sts (102).
Do not fasten off.
Ch 1, sc evenly along the side end of the scarf for a clean finish. Fasten off leaving a long tail.
Folding:
With the wrong side facing you, fold your left side of the scarf down and then the right side over so there is a v shape point in the middle. Do not bring the right side down to cover the bobbles. Make sure all your bobbles can be seen. With your tapestry needle, sew the end of the scrave right above the bobbles (row 13). Fasten off and weave in end.
Edging:
Pick up a st anywhere along the edge and hdc evenly around the bottom of the neck warmer, working through both ends when they overlap each other. Sl st in first st.
Row 1: Ch 4, *sk next st, dc in next, ch 2*, repeat from * around, sl st at top of ch 4 to join.
Row 2: Ch 2, 2 hdc in each sp around, sl st to to join.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in the third loop only in each st around, sl st to join. Fasten off, weave in ends.
Buttons (optional):
With sewing floss or thread sew buttons onto your neck warmer.
