Create this beautiful crochet shamrock dishcloth (and pot of gold dishcloth) or potholder (directions for both)!

The dishcloths are made with 100% cotton yarn, following a simple chart.

Directions are for both dishcloths and can be combined to make a beautiful potholder.

The final dishcloth measures approx.   7.5 X 7.5″.

Materials:

– Size H, 5.00 mm crochet hook

– 100% cotton yarn in white, green and a contrasting color for the border (shamrock dishcloth). White, green, black, yellow and the contrasting color are used for the pot of gold dishcloth. I used Lily Sugar N’ Cream for the white, green, yellow and black yarn and I Love This Cotton in “Sunshiny” for the border.

– Tapestry needle

Note:

The orange color on the pot of gold chart represents the color contrasting yarn.

Make it a potholder:

Sc through both loops of each dishcloth around to join them. Sl st in first st and ch 10. Sl st in same st, ch 1, turn. Work 10 sc’s into the ring space you just formed. Sl st in same st and fasten off. Weave in ends.

Pin it for later!

    Dear Laura,
just wanted to let you know I found your patterns for Baby hat and booties that I am making for a mission project at church. I was looking at your photos and other projects and spotted the pattern for the Irish dish cloths/potholders. it is perfect for my friend who is Irish. Thank you for making these patterns available to us.
Your creative projects look like fun.
Also wondering if you are in Michigan . My son lives near Traverse City and if you have a shop I could visit when I am visiting my son next summer. Thank you again for your creative patterns.
