Crochet Holiday Wine Markers

Whip up these easy crochet holiday wine markers this holiday season!

Materials:

Medium worsted weight yarn, I used Hobby Lobby’s “I Love This Yarn”
Size F, 3.75 mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Small button, .5″
Sewing needle for button

Abbreviations:

ch- chain

sc- single crochet

hk- hook

st(s)- stitch(es)

sk- skip

sl st- slip stitch

Special stitches

Puff stitch: Yarn over and insert hk in st, pull up a loop. Yarn over and insert hook in the same stitch, pull up another loop. Yarn over and insert hook in the same stitch one more time and pull up a loop. Yarn over and pull through all loops, 1 puff made.

Pattern:

Ch 11

Row 1: 2 sc in 2nd ch from the hk and each ch to end (20).

Row 2: Ch 3, turn, *puff in 3rd ch from the hk, ch 1, sl st in same puff space, sk next st, *sc in next, ch 3,* repeat from * to end, ending with a sc in last st (20).

Fasten off leaving a long tail. With tapestry needle, sew the end so you leave a small loop (for button) on the end (make sure it fits over button before securing). Sew in and out many times to secure and fasten off on the inside of the marker. Sew button on the other side of the marker. Fasten off on the inside of the marker.
