Create these cute Country Spice pumpkins for your Fall decor! I love making these little pumpkins because they are so easy, have great texture and cute added details!
The body of the pumpkin is made with half double crochet stitches then the texture color contrast is added. I use a simple technique I call the horizontal single crochet that gives any crochet project beautiful texture (video included in post). Finish by sewing together then adding a cinnamon stick and wire ribbon and you have cute little pumpkin decorations!

Horizontal single crochet:
Here is a video showing the horizontal crochet stitch:
Fold in half and sl st through booth loops across to end.
Horizontal single crochet your contrasting color along the seam you just made.
Fasten off leaving a long tail.
With your blunt needle, weave in and out around the base of the pumpkin and pull tight to close shut (tuck in the loose end so you don’t have to weave it in). Keep weaving in and out around the bottom to secure the base then pull blunt needle through the middle bottom of the pumpkin so the yarn is on the inside.
Fill with stuffing.
