I love sun hats in Summer, especially on the kids! This cute striped pattern looks great with variegated or solid cotton yarn and has great texture! The pattern uses a size H hook and is written in baby-adult sizes.

If you would like to purchase the ad free PDF version of this pattern you can do so in my Etsy shop HERE.

I would like to make this a solid color hat, should I alternate rows the same as if I had 2 colors?

Yes, follow the pattern the same but just stay with 1 color instead of switching.
