Delila crochet baby booties

Create these gorgeous newborn Delila crochet baby booties with this easy pattern!

The booties are worked in the round so there is no awkward wandering seam running up the back. Simple and sweet, makes a great gift!

Booties measure approx. 3.5″ in height.

The pattern is made with bulky weight yarn or working 2 strands together of medium worsted weight yarn making this a quick project!

How to make your booties not slip:

I get this question a lot and have a couple solutions I think work really well:

  1. Puff paint. Squirt little dots or lines of puff paint on the bottoms. Turn them upside down and let them dry overnight before use.

 2. Clear plasti dip spray. This is my preferred method as it works really well and just sprays on. Be sure to do this outdoors. Spray the bottoms and let dry overnight before use.

    Wasn’t clear on row 3
Do I ch 2 then HD’s in the next stitch or do I HD’s in the next two stitches?

It doesn’t say to chain any after row 5, do I still chain?

You can if you want a seam in the back, I prefer not to have one so I don’t Ch 1 and just crochet in the round, hope this helps!

In row 4 you mention, to make sure ridge is facing out.
Not sure what you mean, I’m a beginner

Hi! by ridge I mean the texture that you created in that row by working in the back loops only. Hope this helps!

When following your pattern, and when connecting with a slip stitch to the beginning of the row, it doesn’t mention whether you do a stitch in that stitch or you have to go to the next stitch to do your work.
