Need more storage for your child’s stuffed animals? Make this super easy crochet toy storage net hammock! This simple design works up very fast (you can make this is one afternoon) and simply hangs onto some plastic wall hooks.
Don’t worry, it will not fall down or fall off the hooks. I have had my son’s hammock up for over a month and it is nice and strong!

Materials:
- Lily Sugar n’ Cream 100% cotton yarn.
- J hook
- Blunt needle
- plastic wall hooks
Abbreviations:
st(s)- stitch(es)
ch- chain
dc- double crochet
lp- loop
sl st- slip stitch
Pattern:
Row 1: Ch 4, sl st in first ch made, turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in lp, ch 1, dc in same lp, turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, dc in first lp, ch 1, dc in same lp, ch 1, repeat in next lp, turn.
Row 4: Ch 3, dc in first lp, ch 1, dc in same lp, ch 1, dc in second lp, ch 1, repeat to end, turn.
**Continue with this sequence so the first and last stitch of each row has 2 dc and each stitch between them has 1 dc. The 2 dc at each end will help grow the triangle. Continue with the pattern until you reach the desired length you like. Sl st in last stitch and fasten off. Weave in end.
Put the hooks on your wall (3 total) in any corner and hang the ends over the hooks. You’re done!
Thank you Laura for sharing your pattern! I will definitely put this on my “Must Crochet” list. I wonder if this would work as well using nylon yarn. Blessings!
You’re welcome! I have not used nylon with this pattern but the cotton has held up well 🙂
How many yards did it take to make 1?
I would say about 300-350 yards, depending on how large you want to make it. Hope this helps!
Thank You for this.
You’re welcome! Have fun making it!
Hi Laura!
My daughter, Kathy wanted me to make this for her daughter. When I started it, I followed the pattern and was unable to get it going like yours. I was wondering if there was instructions that I missed.

After you make the ring in row 1 you are increasing in each row after by dc an extra dc at each end of the rows. This will make your triangle to continue to grow. Hope this helps!
This is great idea! Thanks for sharing!
What sort of size did yours end up?
Thank you! Mine measures approx 45″ from end to end on the longest side. 31″ inches on the other 2 sides and 22″ from the middle of the longest side to the front point. Hope this helps!
Hi, I am having trouble hanging my hammock. How do you know how wide to space the hooks to make it sit right.. love your pattern though, thanks.
Hi, I stick one hook in the middle part of the wall then stretch the hammock to either side and place the other hammock hooks there. I think it is easiest if you start with the middle one first. Hope this helps!
Thanks Laura, will stretch sides and see if it sits better.
Just wondering if you count your chain 3 as a double when you turn?
Hi Sara! No, the ch 3 does not count as a double crochet. Hope this helps!
What a great idea, just started one and can’t wait to see the ending, thanks for sharing..
Thank you! Hope you enjoy the pattern 🙂
When you say repeat you should have two dc in each loop like the first?
There should be 2dc in the first st and last st on each row and a regular dc in each st in between. Hope this helps!
Can you in any way explain this pattern better. I am not a beginner crocheter but I for some reason cannot figure this out. Please help.
Hi, can you please tell me which part you are having trouble with and I will try to better explain it?
