Quick Crochet Baby Socks For Beginners Easy Free Pattern
If you’re looking for an easy baby sock pattern that’s fast, fun, and perfect for all skill levels, this free crochet pattern is just what you need.
These adorable crochet baby socks are worked in continuous rounds and written in four different sizes: 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, and 9-12 months. The best part is, the sizing is based entirely on the hook size—no adjusting stitch counts needed!
Use the following mm crochet hook sizes to get the right size:
G hook (4.25 mm) for 0-3m size
H hook (5.00 mm) for 3-6m size
I hook (5.5 mm) for 6-9m size
J hook (6.00 mm) for 9-12m size
This easy crochet baby socks pattern uses simple stitches and clear, step-by-step instructions, making it a great choice for your first sock project or a quick gift idea.
You’ll begin at the sock cuff and work through the main part, including the middle part, heel of the sock, and sock toe.
A stitch marker is helpful to keep track of the first stitch and 1st st in each round, especially in those early rows.
You’ll also be guided on where to insert hook, how to find the next stitch, and when you’ve reached the last st.
Whether you’re making them for personal use, a baby shower, or holiday gifting, these little socks are a great solution for cold weather and baby essentials. You’ll only need a small amount of yarn for each pair, and they work up quickly with beautiful results.
A yarn needle is used at the end to close and weave in the tail for a polished finish.
This blog post includes everything you need to complete your first pair, with easy-to-follow parts of the pattern and helpful free instruction.
For extra support, a video tutorial is available, along with a printable pdf pattern available to purchase.
Use different colours or variegated yarns to customize your finished products and have even more fun with your makes.

Oh gosh, I just love these! Perfect for my new grandson. He’s five months and I’m going to Texas next week to visit him. Better bring a few pairs with me! 🙂
Thanks Trish! I made my son a few pairs too (he’s 6 months)! I just love making things for those little baby feet 🙂
