Looking for a way to stay organized? Check out my Ultimate Crochet Planner and stay organized all year long!

Materials:

– H crochet hook, 5.00 mm

– Medium worsted weight yarn. I used Red Heart Super Saver in “Aran” for the neutral color and Loops and Threads Impeccable in “Fall Leaves” for the contrasting color (I recommend any of Loops and Threads Impeccable variegated yarn for the color contrast. The color switches quickly and gives a great result!)

– Blunt needle

Abbreviations:

ch- chain

st(s)- stitches

sk- skip

sc- single crochet

dc- double crochet

sl st- slip stitch

MC – main color

Note:

When changing colors, do not fasten off the previous color.

Pick up the new color when you get to the next row.

IMPORTANT:

  • You will be working in the BLO for the rows made with the main color.
  • You will be working in the third loops only for the rows made with the contrasting color.

For the cuff:

With MC, ch 10

Row 1-18: Sc in back loops, ch 1, turn. (9)

Fold in half and sl st ends together through both loops.

Right and left hand:

Row 1: Ch 1, evenly space 25 sc around, sl st to join (25).

Continue to work in the round, add stitch marker here to keep track of rows.

Row 1: With MC ch 2, dc in each st around, sl st to join (25).

Row 2: Switch to contrasting color and ch 1. Sc in each st around, sl st to join (25).

Row 3: Switch back to mc and ch 2. Dc in each st around, sl st to join (25).

Repeat rows 2 and 3, 2 more times.

Row 8: Switch to contrasting color and ch 1. Sc 10, ch 4, sk next 4 sts (for thumb), sc next 11 sts (25).

Row 9: Switch to MC and ch 2. Dc around (dc in the ch 4 you made in the previous row) (25).

Row 10: Switch to contrasting color and ch 1. Sc in each st around (25).

Row 11: Switch back to MC and ch 2. Dc in each st around (25).

Row 12: Switch to contrasting color and ch 1. Sc in each st around (25).

Row 13 (working in 3rd loop only): Switch back to MC and ch 1. Sc in each st around (25). Fasten off and weave in ends.

You’re done! Enjoy your new TC crochet fingerless gloves!

Pin it for later!

Hi Marj! The third loop only is the loop directly behind the back loop. I have a video for the matching hat that demonstrates this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ynFXK6id-k&t=15s
