- Medium worsted weight yarn, I used Yarn Bee Dazzling in “Royal Canyon”. You will need about 3 oz (1 skein). I also recommend Red Heart Soft.
- Blunt needle
- Optional: Buttons, 1.5″-2″
Abbreviations:
st(s)- stitch(es)
ch- chain
sc- single crochet
dc- double crochet
sk- skip
sl st- slip stitch
The pattern:
Ch 90 sts for bulky weight yarn and 105 sts for medium worsted weight yarn. It’s ok if you need a few more or less stitches, so long as the foundation chain measures 29″.
Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from the hk and each st across.
Rows 2-10 (bulky weight) Rows 2-12 (medium worsted weight): Ch 2, dc in each st across, fasten off on last row.
Sewing:
Position the scarf so one side goes over the other side coming to a point in the front. I always try it on in a mirror first to make sure the fit is just what I like before sewing.
Once you have it positioned where you like, sew through both layers at 3 points: on each corner where the top part of the scarf overlaps and on the other side. Weave in ends.
Edging:
Rounded scallops:
Pick up a loop anywhere around the edging of the scarf and sc 72 for bulky weight yarn and sc 90 for medium worsted weight yarn (doesn’t have to be exact but needs to be a multiple of 3) evenly around (sc through both overlapping areas). Sl st in last st.
Row 1: ch 2 (counts as 1 dc), 4 dc in same st, *skip next st, sc in next, sk next st, 5 dc in next st,* repeat from * around. Sl st in first sc st and fasten off. Weave in end.
Triangle scallops:
Pick up a loop anywhere around the edging of the scarf and sc 75 for bulky weight yarn and sc 90 for medium worsted weight yarn (doesn’t have to be exact but needs to be a multiple of 5) evenly around (sc through both overlapping areas). Sl st in last st.
Row 1: ch 2 (counts as 1 hdc), 2 dc in next st, ch 2, 2 dc in same st, hdc in next st, *skip next st, sl st in next, sk next st, hdc in next st, 2 dc in next st, ch 2, 2 dc in same st, hdc in next,* repeat from * around. Sl st in first sc st and fasten off. Weave in end.
Optional: add buttons

What is the width before trim?
I bought the pattern, but I don’t actually own it. It still goes to your website. If something happens and I cannot get to the internet, then I won’t have access to the pattern. So basically it’s just stored at your site and I get to borrow it. I can do that on Revalry without paying for it.
Since I paid for it, is there a way to just download the pattern so it’s actually mine? If not, I’ll like my money back, please. Please contact me back and let me know where to download it, or if I’ll be getting a refund.

I’m confused by your question…did you purchase it on Ravelry or Etsy? You can download the PDF it on either one and it will be yours and saved to your computer. Let me know which you purchased it on and I can look into it further.
Hi. Do you do the border through BOTH sides or just the top of the piece? Thank you.
Just around the bottom part of the neck warmer. I do not add the border to the top.
