Create these cute adult crochet hedgehog mittens!
These mittens are full of texture and cute details! The final mitten measures 10.5″ long by 4.5″ wide.

Adult Crochet Hedgehog Mittens

Materials:
Yarn- medium worsted weight yarn, I used Lion Brands Vanna’s Choice (a little over a skein, about 4 oz, 150 yards needed)
Hook size: H, 5.00 mm
Black floss
Buttons for eyes
Small amount of black yarn
Gauge: 7 sc = 2 inch
Note: You will be working from right to left
Special stitch:
*Bobble stitch: Sc in first, ch 4, sl st in same stitch to from bump
For the cuff:
Ch 11
Row 1-18: Sc in back loops, ch 1, turn. (9)
Fold in half and sl st ends together through both loops.
Right Hand:
Row 1: Ch 1, evenly space 25 sts around (25) (sts will be close together).
Continue to work in the round, add stitch marker here to keep track of rows if needed.
Row 2: 11 bobble, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc, sc 11 (27).
Row 3 : Sc in each st around (27) (between the bobbles you made from row 2).
Row 4: 11 bobble, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc, sc 13 (29).
Row 5: Sc in each st around (29).
Row 6: 11 bobble, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc, sc 15 (31).
Row 7: Sc in each st around (31).
Row 8: 11 bobble, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc, sc 17 (33).
Row 9: Sc in each st around (33).
Row 10: 11 bobble, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc, sc 19 (35).
Row 11: Sc 11, skip 10 sts (for thumb), 14 sc (25).
Left Hand:
Work the same way as the right hand until row 2.
Row 2: 11 bobble, sc 11, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc (27) (between the bobbles you made from row 2).
Row 3: Sc in each st around (27).
Row 4: 11 bobble, sc 13, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc (29).
Row: 5: Sc in each st around (29).
Row: 6: 11 bobble, sc 15, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc (31).
Row 7: Sc in each st around (31).
Row 8: 11 bobble, sc 17, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc (33).
Row 9: Sc in each st around (33).
Row 10: 11 bobble, sc 19, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc (35).
Row 11: Sc 25, skip 10 (for thumb).
Right and Left hand:
Row 12: 11 bobble, 14 sc (25).
Row 13: Sc in each st around (25).
Row 14-17: repeat rows 12 and 13, 2 more times (25).
Row 18: Sc 11, sc2tog, sc 10, sc2tog (23).
Row 19: Sc 10, sc 2tog, sc 9, sc2tog (21).
Row 20: Sc 9, sc2tog, sc 8, sc2tog (19).
Row 21: Sc 8, sc2tog, sc 7, sc2tog (17).
Row 22: Sc 7, sc2tog, sc 6, sc2tog (15).
Row 23: Sc 6, sc2tog, sc 5, sc2tog (13).
**This is a good place to attach the button “eyes” between the 22th and 23th row with black floss.**
Row 24: Sc 5, sc2tog, sc 4, sc2tog (11).
Row 25: Sc 4, sc2tog, sc 3, sc2tog (9).
Row 26: Sc 3, sc2tog, sc 2, sc2tog (7).
Row 27: Sc 2 tog 3 times, sl st last st. Fasten off and weave in end. Turn mitten inside out and fasten off on the inside.
Cut a long piece of black yarn for the nose. Take blunt needle and sew thread on the last 3 rows of the tip of the nose in a vertical motion. Cover any loose thread from where you tied it on. Fasten off.
Thumb:
Insert hook in first and last st of the 10 sc sts and pull up a lp. You will be working in the round.
Rows 1-6: Sc in each st around (10).
Row 7: Sc2tog 5 times, fasten off and weave in end. Turn thumb inside out and fasten off on inside with blunt needle.
