Easy Peasy Crochet Baby Booties

Create these cute easy peasy crochet baby booties!

All you need to know is how to chain and single crochet and you can make a pair in just as little as 30 minutes!

This pattern creates a very simple design that you fold in half, whip stitch together and turn inside out.

Then volia! You have a pair of easy peasy baby booties!

This pattern uses a size G hook and any medium worsted weight yarn (my colors are from the Loops & Threads Impeccable line).

How do you make the booties non slip?

I get this question a lot and have a couple solutions I think work really well:

  1. Puff paint. Squirt little dots or lines of puff paint on the bottoms. Turn them upside down and let them dry overnight before use.

 2. Clear plasti dip spray. This is my preferred method as it works really well and just sprays on. Be sure to do this outdoors. Spray the bottoms and let dry overnight before use.

I’m doing the newborn size of these easy peasy baby booties. For rows 12-15 why are there 14 stitches instead of 13 stitches like in rows 1-5? Is that a typo?

”Rows 12-15: Ch 1, sc in each st across (14), fasten off.”

It should be 13, it was a typo. It has been corrected.

For row 11 you single crochet down the chains you just made and the entire row to the end. Hope this helps!
