Create this cute crochet bear hat with this free pattern!
So adorable and sure to bring even more cuteness to your little one! This is a simple pattern that works up quickly. The hat is sized for a small child (3-5 years).
You can easily make the hat smaller by skipping row 4 and continuing with rows 5-11 or adding another increasing row after row 4.
This pattern uses medium worsted weight yarn and size H and I crochet hooks. The final hat measures 7.5″ across the top and 8″ long.

Would the instructions for sizing down make it small enough for a baby, or is there something else I should do to make it baby-sized? I’m trying to make matching hats for a baby and 4 year old, but not sure how much smaller it would be if I just skip the 4th row.
Yes I would skip row 4 for a baby size and continue with the pattern until 10 rows or desired length. It will be a row or two shorter than the toddler size.
