Adult crochet spiral beanie

Create this adult crochet spiral beanie with this free easy pattern!

Great texture and works up quickly!

The hat is made with medium worsted weight yarn and a size  J, 6.00 mm crochet hook.

Materials:

Worsted weight yarn

Hook size J, 6.00 mm 

Blunt needle

Abbreviations:

fpdc- front post double crochet

st(s)- stitch(es)

sc- single crochet

dc- double crochet

sl st- slip stitch

sk- skip

Adult Pattern:

Make magic circle, ch 2.

Row 1: Dc 14 in circle, sl st to join (14).

Row 2: Ch 2, fpdc in each post around, sl st to join (14).

Row 3: Ch 2, *dc in next st, fpdc in next post*, repeat * around, sl st to join (28).

Row 4: Ch 2, *2 dc in next st, sk next st, fpdc in next post*, repeat * around, sl st to join (42).

Row 5: Ch 2, *3 dc in next st, sk next 2 sts, fpdc in next post*, repeat * around, sl st to join (56).

Row 6: Ch 2, *4 dc in next st, sk next 3 sts, fpdc in next post*, repeat * around, sl st to join (70) (place stitch marker here to keep track of rows).

Row 7: Continue to work in the round, *4 dc in next st, sk next 3 sts, fpdc*, repeat * around.

Row 8-21: Repeat row 7.

Row 22: Sc around.

Row 23: Sl st around, fasten off and weave in end.

    Thanks for the great pattern. I only crochet hats for charity and so far this year I have 220 finished. I know that this hat will be loved.
