Create this cute and easy crochet wine lid cover!
“Get away from my wine fruit flies!” I say this every Summer and Fall when I get fruit flies or other little critters trying to get a sip of my wine. It’s hard to enjoy a glass when you look over and see something buzzing around or floating in there…completely ruins your relaxation. Well not anymore with this crochet wine lid cover (and coaster)!
Crochet this easy free wine lid pattern that easily fits on any standard size wine glass. Also doubles as a coaster!
Very easy to follow, you can make a whole set very quickly and keep the bugs out for good!

Materials:
– Size H crochet hook, 5.00 mm
– 100% cotton yarn (I used Lily’s Sugar N’ Cream)
– Blunt needle
Abbreviations:
- sc- single crochet
- flo- front loops only
- lp- loop
- sl st- slip stitch
- ch- chain
Pattern:
Ch 4, sl st into first st to form a ring, ch 1. Sc 6 times into the center of the circle.
**You will now work in the round for each row, place stitch marker here to keep track of rows”
Row 1: 2 sc in each st around.
Row 2: 2 sc in first, *sc in next, 2 sc in next*, repeat from * around.
Row 3: 2 sc in first, *sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next*, repeat from * around.
Row 4: 2 sc in first, *sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next*, repeat from * around.
Row 5: 2 sc in first, *sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next*, repeat from * around.
Fasten off and turn piece over. With the wrong side facing you pull up a lp on the front loop only (flo) and ch 1 (you can pull up a lp anywhere, I like to start to the right of where I just fastened off so I can sc around the tail).
Sc in the flo around, sl st in first st and fasten off. Weave in end.
Can’t wait to crochet those wine cover combo. Thank you for the free pattern.
