Soft Crochet Baby Blanket

Soft Crochet Baby Blanket

The softest baby blanket ever! So cozy and easy to make! This blanket uses Bernat Blanket yarn and size N hook.

It works up fast and can be completed in as little as 1-2 days. The blanket measures 35″ X 35″. 

 

Soft Crochet Baby Blanket

Materials:

  • Bernat Blanket yarn, I used “Countryside Champagne”, 220 yrds (2 skeins) and 1 skein in “Vintage White”
  • N hook, 10 mm
  • Blunt needle

Gauge: 5 rows + 7 sc = 4″

Final measurements: 35″ X 35″

Abbreviations:

ch- chain

hk- hook

st(s)- stitch(es)

sc- single crochet

hdc- half double crochet

Pattern:

Ch 59 in Countryside Champagne

Row 1: Hdc in second ch from the hk and each st to end (58).

Rows 2-16: Ch 2, hdc in each st across (58).

Row 15: Switch to “Vintage White” Ch 2, hdc in each st across (58).

Rows 16-28: Ch 2, hdc in each st across (58).

Row 29: Switch back to main color, ch 2, hdc in each st across (58).

Rows 30-44: Ch 2, hdc in each st across (58). 

Border:

Switch to “Vintage White” and ch 1, sc evenly around the entire blanket with 3 sc in each corner. Sl st in first st and fasten off. Weave in all ends.
